Carnival’s Surplus Meal Donation Program Expands to Latin America
Carnival Corporation has donated meals in Roatán, Honduras, making the destination the first in Latin America to receive food as part of its meal donation program.
According to a statement, 210 portions of prepared, unserved meals from the Carnival Jubilee will be distributed to local partners serving communities in need.
“Expanding our surplus meal donation program to Latin America is an important step in our Less Left Over strategy and an example of how collaboration can turn surplus into support for communities,” said Vicky Rey, vice president of government affairs for Latin America, Carnival Corporation.
