You will run and maintain the onboard machinery and equipment to keep the ship as safe and efficient as possible, as well as take a leading role in the 24 hour watchkeeping team. • To apply for our 2nd Engineer Officer opportunity you will need:
• 2nd Engineering OOW Unlimited Certificate of Competency (CoC) III/2 for Motorships Only (essential)
• STCW High Voltage Management training certificate.
• Experience on board a cruise ship is not essential. Please ensure your CV includes the gross tonnage of the ships you have sailed on recently.
• In addition to a strong technical background, you will love problem solving, fixing things and being hands on. You will be self-motivated and dependable, and always keen to take on more work whilst helping others. You will be a natural communicator, often asking questions and sharing knowledge, and able to easily adapt your style to suit the situation.
