RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Improve and maintain sales and profitability.
• Provide guests with courteous and professional service.
• Minimize/eliminate guest complaints.
• Assure that all bar staff are following the correct charging procedures.
• Perform spot checks to confirm there are no questionable practices and disputed charges submitted by staff to increase their commission.
• Resolve guest complaints regarding the bar are and beverage service.
• Assist guests with complaints that affect other departments on the vessel.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to the drinking age policy.
• Conduct training sessions with staff covering all aspects of service including:
• − Greeting guests by name
• − Properly order taking
• − Up-selling techniques
• − Utilizing correct glassware
• − Mixology
• − Correct use of registers
