American Cruise Lines Welcomes Maverick to Its Fleet
The American Maverick, American Cruise Lines’ newest Patriot-class ship, was christened last week in Newport, Rhode Island.
The ceremony took place during the ship’s inaugural nine-day “New England Islands” cruise, sailing roundtrip from Providence, RI, according to a statement.
American’s President & CEO, Charles B. Robertson, gave remarks during the ceremony, as did the ship’s godmother, Susan Renner, the cruise line’s board chair and treasurer.
