Carnival Brings Cruise Ship LNG Bunkering to Latin America
The Carnival Jubilee has been refueled using a mobile liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling solution at Carnival Corporation’s Isla Tropicale exclusive destination in Roatán, Honduras.
In a statement, the cruise line said this is an industry first as it introduces bunkering as a new maritime fueling capability to Latin America and the Western Caribbean.
Roatán’s location is said to enable LNG-capable ships to refuel with what Carnival says are minimal disruptions to their routes.
